Suno Advanced: Pin Down Your Sound with Synth Models + Recording Details
Why does Suno always sound generic? Because you only describe "genre + vibe." Swap in "Jupiter-8 saw wave bass with reverb tail" and Suno gives you the exact sound you're after.
Instead of "hip hop west coast summer vibes" → use specific synth model + wave shape + envelope settings (e.g. "synth bass like Jupiter-8 saw wave with reverb tail and slow attack")

The author's observation: 99% of complaints that Suno is "too generic" come from users with too narrow a vocabulary. Learn to describe sound with synth references and studio-session detail, and your overall control jumps a level. Worth your time far more than hunting Reddit for the "best Suno prompt." Especially useful for people with a music background — you already understand VSTs, now you're just porting that knowledge into Suno.
